Default Cannot Capture for a PAL DV device in SP mode

Firstly, this program seems as though it treats NTSC as if it is the only
video format. Living in the UK and using PAL makes things difficult as I am
trying to capture from my Panasonic mini DV camcorder at 25 frames/sec @
720x576 resolution.

The main problem is that I can capture using the digital device format
(DV-AVI) setting when the tape has been recorded in LP mode however, when I
try and do the same with a tape that was recorded in SP mode I get an error
message appear before capturing starts saying 'Unspecified error'. Why is
this happening?

I had already set this to PAL however, I tried doing the same thing this
morning and the error didn't appear.

The options given when capturing still say that it is going to be captured
as NTSC though. Is this actually the case or is it really converting it back
to PAL or something?

If you definately have PAL set in Options, then I'd suggest reading this if
you have sp2 installed adn it may be the cause of the problem. You can roll
back to SP1 firewire drivers and that may sort it for you.

Also being in PAL land, I have no ntsc options whatsoever.
