Default Sony HDD camcorder and movie maker not getting along

Hello,
I just purchased a sony HDD camcorder. I am trying to import my video to
movie maker. Well, first off it tells me that it can fire from too many??
or something of that matter. Secondly, I have to open up Sony imagemaker for
it to import the video. Thirdly, after it finally imports, it will not let
me add it to the timeline. I am having troubles. can anyone help?

Default Re: Sony HDD camcorder and movie maker not getting along

see my website's Cameras and Capture Devices > Types > Hard Drive page.

it records to MPEG-2 files, which Movie Maker doesn't work with, so it's a
conversion before importing
