I downloaded Live Mail and ran the install into Vista but although it ran
the first part and asked me to Accept and wait while it checked the computer it did nothing more. Has anyone got past this point? -- Ian......uk |

It should get past that point eventually. How long did you wait?

Wow, 2 hours is a long time. We've seen scattered reports
from a few people in the WLM newsgroup who were unable to install the program. Microsoft has promised a better installer in the next version of WLM. If you are game to try again, I'm attaching the uninstall procedure just below my sig. Gary VanderMolen > First uninstall WLM from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. Then delete the following keys in the registry if you're > comfortable with deleting registry keys. > > Start / Run / regedit / Enter > > HKEY _Current _User/Software/Microsoft/Windows Live Mail. Right-click on Windows Live Mail and select delete. Close the tree > until you get back to HKEY_Current_User. > > HKEY_Local_Machine/Software/Microsoft/Windows Live Mail. Right-click on Windows Live Mail and select delete. Close the tree > until you get back to HKEY_Local_Machine. > > Go to File/ Exit to close out of the registry editor and restart your system. Now reinstall WLM.
