I have Vista Business on a Sony VAIO and want to turn on Solitaire in Games.
I have selected "Programs and Features", ticked the Solitaire box and hit "OK". The new screen with the progress bar remains static and then disappears. Nothing has changed. I've tried clicking the all games box or combinations of other boxes and the same thing always happens. Does anyone have a clue as to what I or Microsoft are doing wrong please? -- DavidMaudio |

Like all folders in Vista, Games open in a separate window. This should show icons of all the games. Double click and wait a mo and a right hand help pane will appear and a mo later the game will appear in its own window ready to play. -- Ian |

Maybe I didn't explain correctly. The problem is that Programs and features
doesn't acually turn on the game feature. It runs through the process but on other machines with Vista when turnin on the progress bar has a green progress bar as the feature is turned on. Once complete, if you return to turning on and off features the relevant program has a tick in the box. In my case the progress bar remains static, with no green bar and then just disappears. The feature doesn't have a tick in the box and the system remains unchanged. Hopefully this clarifies. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My understanding of the Business version is that games are not automatically
installed. I guess that's why they call it Business It is an option to be selected at Installation. Unfortunately it's an option that doesn't seem to want to be selected.
Therein lies the problem! -- DavidMaudio "Doug" wrote: > My understanding of the Business version is that games are not automatically > installed. I've been there but it just explains how to turn features on and off.
Unfortunately Vista doesn't seem to do what I'm told it will - namely turn on the feature that I've selected. It just returns to the previous screen having not made any adjustments or given me any clues to why it's ignored my entry!!
