I have just purchased a new PC with Windows Vista Home Premium. The
processor is AMD 64 Athlon (time) 2. How can I tell whether I am using 32-bit or 64-bit windows? |

Hi,
Most are sold with 32-bit (x86) as that is more compatible with available hardware. There is very little software available for the home user that would take advantage of 64-bit processing currently. Click start, type "control system" and check the dialog box for the installed type. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Ned" <Ned@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:731FDDA7-CD26-4340-AB5D-01B6164E816D@microsoft.com... >I have just purchased a new PC with Windows Vista Home Premium.
