folder views

anybody having problems with folder views changing on their own?

I hadn't noticed this as a problem until recently. It just started the
middle of last week. I like medium icons for folders of shortcuts but
details for Windows Explorer. It was working fine since I upgraded a couple
of months ago but now it's suddenly started showing everything in details. I
change it and it stays until the next day and then starts changing again.
