mouse pointer is hidden in ms works and msn

Hi
I have vista 64 ultimate and i found that my mouse pointer becomes invisible
when i try to hover over any area that can accept user input.

How can i make the pointer be visible?

See which cursor you have set for the 'Text select' option at

Right-click desktop > Personalize > Mouse pointers

and try anothet one, if necessary.
