Windows Photo Gallery will not load any photos... PLEASE HELP ME!

Greetings! I have MS Windows Vista Business installed on my machine (P4 3.2)
and when I try to open a picture in Windows Photo Gallery, well, it just does
not display the photo. This happens with ALL formats too. I can't load a
standard *.jpg or *.bmp or anything else for that matter. Is there a known
issue or something i can do to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated!
