My taskbar is now the the right side of screen. I don't know what
happened. I want it back on the bottom of screen. How do I do that? |

Make sure "Lock the Taskbar" is unchecked before your click and drag.

Although by default the task bar appears on the bottom of the screen, it can be on any of the sides you prefer it on. To move it from any side to another, simply click on an unused part of it and drag it where you want it. Be sure to click *within* it, not on the edge; clicking on the edge and dragging will resize it. If it won't move, it may be locked. In that case, right click on it and uncheck "Lock the taskbar," then try again. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP Windows - Shell/User Please Reply to the Newsgroup |

Hi Ken,
Wonder if you can help me? I have Windows Vista and while doing a tutorial in Excel my taskbar moved from the bottom to the top of the screen all on its own! It is not locked but it won't move! I can expand the bar to half way down my screen but I can't get the top of the bar to move! I have tried clicking all areas of the bar to no avail! Any suggestions? Many thanks Elisheva "Ken Blake, MVP" wrote: > On Fri, 6 Jul 2007 16:42:00 -0700, bthinking > <bthinking@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > > Hey it worked. How easy was that!!!!! > > Thank you! You should be able to click any unused part of it and drag it to whatever side of the screen you prefer. If it won't move directly to the bottom, try dragging it to one side. Then click again and drag it to the bottom. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP Windows - Shell/User Please Reply to the Newsgroup |

Thanks Ken,
My dear husband managed to do it, I am not sure why I couldn't as I was following all the instructions given!
