Does anyone here know where to make suggestions for the XPe tools?
I couldn't find anything on the ECE site. My suggestion is to have a function to ignore dependencies for a particular component in an SLX file. This could cause the component icon to change (perhaps with a red dot in the corner) so it is obvious what has happened. Perhaps this function would only work in expert mode. Because I need a small image I have a large number of dependency errors that I have to let ride. I find it very time consuming to look through them all each time I change something to find out which are new errors. -- -Mike |

The forum site is the best place: http://forums.microsoft.com/embedde....aspx?siteid=47 Regards, Sean Liming www.sjjmicro.com / www.seanliming.com Book Author - XP Embedded Advanced, XP Embedded Supplemental Toolkit "Mike Warren" <miwa-not-this-bit@or-this-csas.net.au> wrote in message news:xn0f7zlf14gg8c002@news.microsoft.com... > Does anyone here know where to make suggestions for the XPe tools? > > I couldn't find anything on the ECE site. > > My suggestion is to have a function to ignore dependencies for a > particular component in an SLX file. I agree 100% with this. It would be nice to check them off and have them at
least dimmed out, and remember those settings for that image. I would like to see a Notes field in Target Designer for each component
so that I could record things like: "This component was needed to support XYZ function."
