I have installed both Office 2003 and Office 2007 on my laptop, using Vista 2007 operating system. Whenever I open either version of an application, I get an error dialog box - BCM Office Addin Office application version does not match. Is there a way to resolve this confict? What is the best way to run both versions of Office (2003 and 2007) on one pc? Thanks |

Excel 2003 and 2007 co-exist quite nicely on their own, generally installed in oldest version order. It is the add-in's issue that it appears not to be able to work with multiple versions. To overcome this you might try moving it to a location other than add-ins and just 'import' it into one version. Simply unchecking from one may work, but may not. If you want a version that works with both, speak to the add-in provider -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England nick_hodgeTAKETHISOUT@zen.co.ukANDTHIS web: www.nickhodge.co.uk blog (non-tech): www.nickhodge.co.uk/blog/ "Jerri B." <JerriB@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4BC8B773-9A63-4074-9DD5-F2602FF5BCF5@microsoft.com... > > I have installed both Office 2003 and Office 2007 on my laptop, using > Vista > 2007 operating system. > > Whenever I open either version of an application, I get an error dialog > box - > > BCM Office Addin > > Office application version does not match. > > Is there a way to resolve this confict? > What is the best way to run both versions of Office (2003 and 2007) on one > pc? > > Thanks |

Hi,
I've got the same error. But I just bought a new Computer. Office 2007 Trial was installed and I deleted it, then I installed Office 2003. Now I have the same mistake. I didn't install any addons. Any ideas? -- Free News Reader http://put.hk http://put.hk/reader/news.microsoft...rashesgpfs.html Nick Hodge <nick_hodgeTAKETHISOUT@zen.co.uk.ANDTHIS> wrote: > Jerri > Excel 2003 and 2007 co-exist quite nicely on their own, generally installed > in oldest version order. > It is the add-in's issue that it appears not to be able to work with > multiple versions. > To overcome this you might try moving it to a location other than add-ins > and just 'import' it into one version. I have a similar problem, except I had the Office 2007 and once it expired,
purchased the Office 2007 Small Business edition. I am getting the error message whenever I open an Office 2007 application. Have you received any answers? I sure would like to get rid of the error message and would like to know that new documents, spreadsheets, etc. I create will not be corrupted later.
