I have a large spreadsheet with links to other large spreadsheets and I keep
getting the notice that Excel cannot complete a save with available resources. It is suggested that I choose less data or close other applications. Then I get the notice that external links were not saved. This happens all the time. I have a dual-core PC with 2 Gig of RAM. How can I optimize my system settings to prevent this? I am even getting a "selection too large" notice when I try to paste 20 copies of VLOOKUPs in the same spreadsheet. |

Most versions of Excel have a limit on how much of the available memory pool
they can use. You can read about this here http://www.decisionmodels.com/memlimitsc.htm -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England nick_hodgeTAKETHISOUT@zen.co.ukANDTHIS web: www.nickhodge.co.uk blog (non-tech): www.nickhodge.co.uk/blog/ "ktpinegar" <ktpinegar@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E192B2F4-A13E-43F6-A87E-F6D2D4098062@microsoft.com... >I have a large spreadsheet with links to other large spreadsheets and I >keep > getting the notice that Excel cannot complete a save with available > resources.
