Google, and since I became aware of them from their recent advertising campaign - Ask.com

It's good to have a choice and it's quite interesting to see what each one misses.

I've just tried ask now for a few search phrases and it seems ok actually. Yahoo is just far too bloated for me (on the homepage) and gives some really bad results sometimes.

Google for me too, and I have it as my home page because it looks "clean" and uncluttered by ads and links all over the place.

Another good one that I've added to my Firefox drop-down list is http://www.ixquick.com/ which claims to be:

Don't worry TC, your name, address & telephone number are not recorded.

You're right. I've been using Yahoo for a long time and this has finally spurred me on to changing to Google which is much simpler. We sometimes need a kick to get us to change.

Google.

MSN just copied Google's simple form page.

Ask is different, I use that too. askJeeves made me laugh all those years ago with the butler

Many years ago I used to use Altavista at school to search for mp3s. Of course they were crap and mainly in RealOne player, but it made me feel big
