Windows Mail

I am new to Vista. I previously used Outlook Express with my provider,
Comcast. I set up two of my four accounts with Comcast using Windows Mail.

I want the ability to password protect each account and use a password to
log onto the the account. Whenever I hit the Windows Mail icon, I am taken
right to the email account without being prompted to use a password, even if
I exit Windows Mail and shut down my PC. When I hit the Windows Mail icon I
am taken immediately to the inbox which shows all the email I have received.

Can anyone help?

the only way I know of..., is to utilize different user logins to Vista.

Dave, I suspected that might be the answer. I take it you know how Outlook
Express worked and why I find Windows Mail not the same, correct?

We feel your pain...
The thing is, the password-protected Identities feature in
Outlook Express gave a false sense of security. Anyone with
minimal computer knowledge could open your mail files.
Vista is all about real security. If you need the additional
privacy for your various mail accounts, use separate Windows
user logins.

This may be redundant to someone else's response..for some reason tonight I'm having problem with the msnews server downloading all messages.

If still interested in multiple id's in Vista this might offer an alternative.

I prefer the separate logon accounts, the spouse does not(she loves this program especially the taskbar tool for switching and the multiple features for keeping her three accounts[personal, business, volunteer] in one convenient Vista logon id)
