Default an unknown error has occurred

i have one message in my outbox that i cannot delete. I keep getting unknow
error occurred and this is preventing me from sending any out going mail. It
is very annoying that microsoft is not doing anything about this problem.
Please advise on a "easy" fix for this probem

Teri,

I and several other people have had the same problem. Go to

www.oehelp.com/wmutil

and download Steve Cochran's utility. Use the utility (after unzipping) and
compact your e-mail and the problem will go away. It did for me. Then
compact your e-mail every time you get the dialog box asking if you want to
compact your e-mail.

Good luck.

Teri,

Do you have your system backed up to an external hard drive or elsewhere?

Here is what I did. I restored, Windows Mail only, to a date that Windows
Mail was working properly. Then I used Steve's utility ( go to
www.oehelp.com/wmutil) to compact my
e-mail. Plus I compact my e-mail every time the dialog box appears.

Hopefully this helps.

I too have this problem and have tried to delete, resend to different
address, and it won't move. My Dell connect contract expired 6/27 and am not
prepared to buy 3 incidents help for $110.
