Default Importing Outlook files

I am unable to import my old Outlook email information into Windows Mail. Is
that because it is not possible to do so?

Thanks,

Default Re: Importing Outlook files

Do you mean Outlook, and not Outlook Express?

To transfer from Outlook to WM

1. install Outlook on the Vista computer, and copy your .pst file from the
old computer.
Open WM, File - Import -

or

2. Open Outlook on your old computer, export your data to Outlook Express.
Copy the Outlook Express .dbx file to a directory on the Vista computer.
Open WM, File - Import -

Which version of Outlook?
Importing from Outlook 2000 fails for me too - with both Windows Mail and
Windows Live Mail (beta) - the program simply stops responding.
No resolution as yet! You may have better luck if you can go via Outlook
Express (as Dave suggests).
