user rights elevation when using ipconfig / renew...

When logged into a Vista Ultimate box, admin equivalent, I wanted to
release and renew my IP address. It nagged about it wanted a user rights
elevation.

How to do it at a command prompt?

Right click on the Command Prompt shortcut and pick Run as administrator.

There is also a way to elevate using a power tool setup as well as a
keyboard combo. Steven Bink has made a tool to deal with UAC's continual
prompts to elevate to run as admin that are very much like the PC Guy Apple
Guy commercials that lol Gates and Jobs discussed the other night for the
first time in years they held a public discussion although they have had
phone conversations in the past few years:

If you are using Windows Vista with User Account Control enabled and you
frequently run applications as administrator (or run elevated), this tip
will surely come in handy.

Click on the Start button.
In the "Start Search" box, type the name of the application you wish to run
elevated - for example: "cmd.exe", "Notepad", or "Windows Mail".
Hold CTRL+SHIFT on your keyboard and then press Enter.
You will then receive a User Account Control prompt asking you whether or
not you want to run the application.
