Default Vista Business Corrupt wdf01000.sys file

Running a Dell Inspiron 6000 upgraded from XP Pro 3 months ago to Vista
Business (upgrade version). All was working fine until yesterday.

Did a normal shutdown and it crashed at windows boot manager:

"windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or
corrupt."

Status: 0xc0000221

File: \windows\system32\drivers\Wdf01000.sys

I tried running automated recovery from boot DVD over six time and I still
get the same msg.

I also booted to CMD and fond the file and deleted it. It boots OK after
this, but then I cant use the keyborad or mouse!!

I ran auto recover again, and I back to square one. same boot error.

Microsoft wants $59.00 to fix THEIR PROBLEM!!!

I am ready to ROLL BACK TO XP !!! If I don't get this fixed!!
