Default Network monitoring icon

This icon in my systray used to flicker from one monitor to another to show
connectivity but now it stays on all the time.
What would cause this?
The network works fine all the same!

Right click the network icon, select 'Turn on activity animation', if it is
already on, try turning it off then back on.

The flicker may show active traffic. If so you maybe now have constant
traffic?
