I'm trying to verify the program and folder for some of my shortcuts,
but cannot seem to locate the proper information. In the past, when I wanted to see where a program was being executing from, I would right click on the icon and properties and I could see the link for the program. But no more - where can I review that information? Thanks Charlie ****************************************************** Charliec |

But no more - where can I review that information? Hmmm... that's strange. What version of Vista are you running? Are you logged in as an administrator? What /are/ you seeing? Whenever I right-click a shortcut on my Start menu or desktop and select Properties, I get the expected dialog. -- David Dickinson eveningstar at die-spammer-die dash mvps dot org Please reply only to the newsgroup, not by email. |

What I am seeing when I right click on the Icon is in on the desktop, I am get the "open file location" option and can find the folder/program the icon represents. But when I right click on an icon on the Start/All Programs list, I do not get that option. By clicking on properties, I get a box that provides info on the icon location, but nothing about the folder/program. The following is available in that box: Open Pin to Start Menu Add to Quick Launch Sen To Cut Copy Delete Rename Properties > >Whenever I right-click a shortcut on my Start menu or desktop and select >Properties, I get the expected dialog. ****************************************************** Charliec |
