Windows DVD Maker not detect device record

Hello,
I am trying to use the Windows DVD Maker for record a DVD. However, when
opening the tool, he does not detect the DVD burn installed. The device is
a LG (HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H42N ATA) and in the EventView has the following
errors:

Identification of the Event: 51 Category of the

Level: User
Key notice: N/D
Description: Error detected in the device Device\CdRom1 during an operation

It was in the WHCL, is compatible. I tried the Microsoft support site to
knowledgebase but I found nothing.

Can you see if you can use this http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net ?

Or have you had success with other 3rd party tools?
