Unable to retain outlook account passwords?

Hi
Sorry if this is an obvious and simple task but I am unable to make my
outlook retain its user account passwords when using Vista. I have come
across this problem on 2 seperate Vista laptops now with different ISP email
accounts.
Even when it promps you during a send &receive, you put it in 'again' and
select to remember your crudentials but every time outlook is closed then
opened the passwords are lost??

Please help as this is frustrationg

What version of Outlook this is a known problem with any version below
2003.
