I am now on my third X1900XT I'm wondering if anyone else has the same
>problem and if so do you know what has could the CARD to malfunction (note >have adequit power) Any meaningful reply would be pure guesswork unless you post the specs regarding your computer (if a proprietary model), power supply (brand, rating), mainboard, brand of card, and other relevant details such as what exactly is happening to your X1900XT cards that is causing you to replace them. Otherwise your question is like "My Chevy broke down. What's wrong?" Asus N2N32-sli Deluxe OCZ MOD Stream 600W output is fine ATI X1900XT 512M 2G OCZ DDR2 AMD M2 Vista 64 bit Both cards just scramble the screen (had the card test on another system does the same thing) --------------= Posted using GrabIt =---------------- ------= Binary Usenet downloading made easy =--------- -= Get GrabIt for free from http://www.shemes.com/ =- |

> OCZ MOD Stream 600W output is fine > ATI X1900XT 512M > 2G OCZ DDR2 > AMD M2 > Vista 64 bit You are now on your third card and it's working OK so far? The first one was new when bought, then ran OK for a while as a single (non-SLI) card, died, and then you RMA'd it, got a second from ATI, the same thing happened, you RMA'd that one as well, and now you've got a third one still functioning right now. Is that right? How long did the previous cards last before they gave issues? Or were they non-functional out of the box? This all assumes, no insult intended, that you know how to properly install and connect the aux power, etc. |

So the same problem occurred on both of your previous two X1900s?
Does the scrambling happen at boot, or during intense activity (game)? At what point did the symptoms develop, a month of use, 3 months, a year? Have you tried the other DVI port? Using the DVI-VGA adapter? Are you overclocking the motherboard FSB/HT? Increasing the chipset or DIMM voltage? -- "War is the continuation of politics by other means.
