Default Windows xp set up on new hard drive

My old system had windows 98 and I upgraded to XP. I am installing a new hard
drive. When I try to load XP it wants me insert my windows 98 Cd to verify
the upgrade. I don't have the windows 98 CD anymore that came with my DELL.
Is there any way to load XP on the new hard drive w/o having the 98CD for
verification?

thanks ,John

As winxp is an upgrade version you need the earlier version in order to
install it

workaround...........clone the old hard drive to the new hard drive.
The HD manufacturers website usually has a tool for that purpose.
