I lose my activation code (I lose the label sticker to the software) that I
need for registration my xp-pro. What should I do, can I find it in my
software cd, and how?

If you can still log onto Windows, you could use one of the key viewing
programs: Aida 32 (http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php) or Magic Jellybean
keyfinder (http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml).

If your copy was retail, the sticker is on one of the inner flaps of the
cardboard folder the CD was packaged in. I pulled mine off of and stuck it
onto the sleeve in the CD notebook that holds my XP CD. I also used a
marker to write the number directly onto the CD label. If you still cannot
find the number, contact Microsoft.

If your copy of XP was preinstalled by the PC manufacturer or an OEM copy
that accompanied a hardware purchase, contact the OEM.
