Default Interface Language

I recently bought a PC in The Netherlands and it has Vista Home Basic on it
with only the Dutch language installed. I can"t work with a Dutch
environment, so I'm completely lost. I thought I'd be able to change it to
English, but i am still unable to do so.
Does anyone know how i can change the interface language to English?

Thank you...

you can either upgrade to ultimate and add the english language from the
ultimate extra downloads
or

buy an english vista and reformat!

Or, install Ubuntu and change languages at will.

Get it free at www.ubuntu.com

Tiberius's "solution" to the Vista blues is to go back to XP. It's sad
really, that computer users are being encouraged to go back to an old
out-dated toy operating system because Vista is such a bloated piece of
crapware. It's like calling Microsoft's aPhone an innovative product that
should be adopted because it works better than the new fangled gadgets ...

You're absolutely right Alias. Those dissatisfied with Vista should move on
over to a new and innovative operating system like Ubuntu rather than
having to resort to an old has-been like XP that is full of insecurities
and still requires "activation".

Love and Kisses,
Doris

it is not outdated... XP is much alive, updates are being created, and it is
better equipt to handle the present,
than any other OS that exists on this planet.

XP is better than any linux for the same reasons its better than vista:

1)It supports almost all hardware
2)Programs install and work flawlessly
3)It has fantastic speed and reliability

the only drawback of it is that like all windows its prone to viruses and
malware.

I am not encouraging people to stay with the old. I encourage them to use
what is best.
If vista was not such a horrid monstrosity I would say go with that....
If linux had better hardware support and was easy to configure and maintain,
and more programs were ported to it
I would say go with that....

I don't care about what the name of the OS is or when it was made.. all I
care about is for it to WORK

XP just works.. in contrast to Vista and Linux

Luv and Kisses

Linux supports far more hardware ... read CPUs.

As they do on Ubuntu. Except the software is free for Ubuntu. Installation
is much easier than it is under XP.

Nowhere close to Linux.

Yep.

Well, then you haven't met "best" yet. :-)

Purchase a copy of Windows Vista in English and clean-install it. There's
no other way to get from where you are to where you want to be.
