Default Cap Lock/Num Lock

My cap lock/num lock icons have disappeared from the notification area/sys
tray but they are 'enabled' in the options and set to display always; but
they dont.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks

I would actually LIKE to remove the scroll lock, num lock, and cap lock icons
from my system tray. Any idea how to do that?

If you're using something other than a plain jane keyboard, look in the
keyboard properties in Control Panel.

Can you figure out what program is running them? This isn't a Windows function. Try right-clicking the icons.
Does that offer any Options, or the ability to Exit?

I am using the OEM HP keyboard, and there isn't anything in keyboard
properties for removing those icons.

No, icons don't respond to any clicks. I have no idea what program is feeding
them.

Odd.
You might try asking in the HP forums:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/...me.do?forumId=2

(You have to register to post, but you might find the problem already asked
and aswered in the appropriate section for you model.)

The answer is NO and YES. No it is not a lap top and yes I did upgrade from
XP but thanks anyway, I un-instaled and re-installed the keyboard software
and this fixed it!
