Default XP SP2 Removal

I recently had to re-install Windows Professional. I have an earlier version
of the software that does not have SP2. The new installation removed part of
the Security Center and now it does not work. There's no way to remove it
from the ADD/REMOVE programs because it is no longer on the list. When I try
to download it from MS.C it says I already have it. If I remove the Security
Center from the REG can I download it then or will removing it from the REG
cause me more problems?

Can you be more specific describing the steps? Which Service Pack level
is Windows at now? When you reinstalled did you format the system
partition before installing Windows again?

Do you have good backups of your data? If you do, you might save time
by doing a clean format/install. From your post, it sounds like your
install was not entirely clean.
