oziboy,
This is a dial-up software modem, right? Since you have no Vista drivers for it, you installed the XP drivers, and they installed? Is this correct? If I understand this situation, then I'll bet your problem is a lack of Vista drivers. Try running the modem using WinXP SP-2 compatibility mode. You should be able to find the option for doing this by right clicking your dial-up icon and selecting Properties. In the window that opens, click on the Compatibility tab. Select the proper mode there. If that don't work, and you can't find Vista drivers, then you have to purchase a replacement modem that is Vista compatible. Let us know what happens. - freddy "oziboy" wrote: > I use a netcomm internal modem {in5699_4} and have configured it properly__ > it only has drivers for XP and cannot find any for Vista__the error is > :wrong password__ or server busy try again: anyone having the same > problem__? > With Kind Regards From Willofaustralia > > > |
