Default Kensington Mouseworks now works

Previously the Kensington Mouseworks Ver. 6.2.2 software would not
install properly in Vista. Now it does. So if you have an Expert Mouse
trackball (which is the highest productivity pointing device ever
invented) you can say Welcome Back to your programmable buttons.

Oh frabjous Day!! Calloo Callay!!

Birk,

What do you mean, "Now it does?" I am running Vista 64 and miss my extra
buttons! I am still having trouble installing MouseWorks (it always thinks I
have a Microsoft mouse plugged in). What did you have to do to get this to
install properly?

Thanks!

Mouseworks will install for me (on Vista) but the programmable buttons
just aren't programmable. I contacted Kensington Technical support
and got the following response: "I understand your concern. However,I
would like to inform you that, our Kensington mice are compatible with
vista as a normal mouse but it will not give the capability of
programming the buttons.

There will be no Kensington Mouse Work's software support on windows
Vista and there is no way to program the extra buttons of the mouse or
trackball in Windows Vista ."
