It is indeed a sad day for me and others like me who used to come to this
discussion group to learn. Today’s personal attack on the MVP's has me totally disgusted and leaves me no choice except not to visit this site. I am curious however; is it jealousy or are you just out to make a name for your own selves? I am not impressed with all you nasty little bashers. All you ever do is bitch and whine about nothing at all; or things out of Microsoft’s or the MVP’s control (drivers, software). The only help you ever offer lately is switch to Linux! Well maybe; just maybe, I actually like Vista! Maybe it really does work well for me! Maybe I actually searched for answers to questions before I posted, maybe all of my questions were actually answered by some of those MVP’s that you love to rip apart, maybe I upgraded before I installed Vista…(just like the MVP’s advised me to do!) I won’t be visiting this group much in the future; the soapbox is too large for me to climb upon. However if I do visit; you can bet that I will look for answers from those MVP’s. They may not always be perfect, but they are much closer to perfection than any of you bashers! To all of you MVP’s…I can only speak for myself…Thank you all for your time, your help and support. I have learned much from many of you and will miss the things I could have learned in the future! -- always learning |

Today’s personal attack on the MVP's has me >totally disgusted and leaves me no choice except not to visit this site. Shows what you know. This isn't a site. Newsgroups don't have "sites". I guess you never noticed all the attacks coming from the MVPs themselves or their endless whining or trying to be net cops and in general acting like spoiled pompous jerks. >I am curious however; is it jealousy or are you just out to make a name for >your own selves? Jealousy of what? To become a MVP you get "nominated" by somebody that is already a MVP. Talk about a good old boy's club where the only requirement is you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. There is no test to demonstrate any skill levels, no experience requirements of any kind. Nothing, except of course a willingness to become one of the sheep and never ever speak badly of Microsoft. Beating up on Microsoft customers is not only tolerated, but it seems to be encouraged. >I am not impressed with all you nasty little bashers. All >you ever do is bitch and whine about nothing at all; or things out of >Microsoft’s or the MVP’s control (drivers, software). I see you bought into that bullshit. Well now, you must be a fanboy. There never is anything wrong with Windows, oh no, instead pick from the following list: 1. the vendor didn't release drivers, not Microsoft's fault. 2. Oops, its buggy vendor software, not Microsoft's fault. 3. The user caused his own problems, not Microsoft's fault. I know, a short list, but it does gets used a lot around here. >oThe only help you ever ffer lately is switch to Linux! My don't you have a wide brush. The fact is I give more help and far more detailed answers to problems than anybody and not once have I suggested anybody switch to Linux. So much for your "objectivity" balance and reason. >Well maybe; just maybe, I actually like >Vista! Maybe it really does work well for me! Well goodie, we have something in common. Difference is I also know Vista causes a lot of people grief. You try to pretend oh no, that couldn't be, because oh... it don't for you, so anybody having any problems must be a dummy. Hear that a lot around here too. >Maybe I actually searched for >answers to questions before I posted, maybe all of my questions were actually >answered by some of those MVP’s that you love to rip apart, maybe I upgraded >before I installed Vista…(just like the MVP’s advised me to do!) Did some MVP advice you to kiss his ass, or did you learn that part on your own? I see you are into hero worship big time. Well bub, got news for ya. The MVP crowd you seem to worship is famous for posting cookie cutter answers. In fact they often provide a answer that's shoe-horned to fit a question, proving again, they often don't bother to actually read posts, they're too busy trying to meet their quota of answers Microsoft expects them to respond to in order to keep that precious MVP behind their name which they use to get rubes like you to partake of their servies which is the REAL reason most MVPs hang out in groups like this. Such newsgroups are fertile prospecting grounds where any number of snake oil salesman hangout. MVPs at best often just skim posts and because of it often come off looking lame in not fully answering somebody's question. Remember the real goal is simply to respond, not actually help. That would take too much time and I told you the REAL reason MVPs hang out here. >I won’t be visiting this group much in the future; the soapbox is too large >for me to climb upon. Translation: You have a thin skin, can't debate, don't have a clue how to hold up your end of the discussion on any topic and can't stand to hear the truth so you rant and rave and then say you're leaving. How precious. Don't let the door slap you in your butt on your way out. >However if I do visit; you can bet that I will look >for answers from those MVP’s. Be by guest. You know what P. T. Barnum is famous for saying. >They may not always be perfect, but they are >much closer to perfection than any of you bashers! Sure, right, of course. Stop worrying.... you passed, your I love MVPs t-shirt is in the mail, watch your mailbox. >To all of you MVP’s…I can >only speak for myself…Thank you all for your time, your help and support. I >have learned much from many of you and will miss the things I could have >learned in the future! OK, get up from you knees now, brush yourself off and leave. Bye-bye. |

news:8306B235-9859-400D-BA96-C4A78BA61BD7@microsoft.com: If you were to use a real newsreader instead of the MS web interface to UseNet, it would be very simple for you to bozo-bin maybe 6 or 7 posters and not see any of that. > It is indeed a sad day for me and others like me who used to come to > this discussion group to learn. Today’s personal attack on the > MVP's has me totally disgusted and leaves me no choice except not to > visit this site. If you've noticed, while there's general MVP bashing, it's really only pointed towards a few of the MVP's. But let's face it, the thread started by MVP Urban entitled 'I spent 45 minutes' is what HE would define as pure trolling behavior. It also shows how unprofessional a Micrsosft Valued Proffesional can be. Is behavior like that fitting for an MVP ? I say who cares, it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round. > I am curious however; is it jealousy or are you just > out to make a name for your own selves? Well it is a Vista 'General' group, which would entail just about any Vista subject around, including comparing it to other OS's. > The only help you ever offer lately is switch to > Linux!
