Default HELP PLEASE!

I am trying to set up Vista in a clean uncluttered way. There are a
TON of areas where MS has deemed it that I have to hunt for ways to
turn on/off features that I dont need. Most of these are 100%
redundant and do nohting but clutter up the screen and reduce the
useful area of the window in question. Cna someone please advise how
I do the following?

(I'll start with Control Panel)

1) how do I get rid os the white area on the right side of the
screen? It has only two links in it (Control Panel Home and Classic
View) and they are 100% redundant and waste a lot of screen space. I
am in Classic View BTW.

2) how do I get ride of that sort order bar? This object is all across
folders and windows in Vista. It is 100% redundant as well and adds
clutter to where ever it appears. I woudl like to get rid of it.

3) How do I get rid of the Search box on the address bar? This is
also all across Vista and IE7. I'd like ot remove it form
everyplace. I find it to be of little (if any) use at all. For my
use it adds clutter and wasted overhead.

Thats it for CP. Hopefully I can get these resolved and move on. It
amazes me how much fluff was added to Vista just for the sake of
change. It actually reminds me a lot of AOHell. Its way to fluffy
and glitzy all around.

Thanks..
DB

Do you spend a lot of time with Control Panel open?

I can't find a sort order bar. How would I find it? What window do you have
open when you see it?

A little look at IE7 Help returned this:

Click to open Internet Explorer.

Click the arrow to the right of the search box , and then click Change
Search Defaults.

Click a search provider in the Search Provider list, and then click Remove.

Click OK.

By-the-way. The F1 key never broke anything...
