Default Personalized settings are not being saved

I installed Vista Business on Monday and I am running as a Standard user (I
knoiw the admin username and password). I painstakingly personalized my
desktop over the last couple of days and had to reboot today because of the
Windows Updates released yesterday. Alas, verything I did to personalize my
desktop has vianished and I can't figure out what to do. Even if I give my
account Admin privileges I get the same result?

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Default RE: Personalized settings are not being saved

I solved the problem by disabling User Access Controls. I should not have had
to do that but I didn't know what else to do. It should not be this hard to
get your settings saved...
