For the life of me I CANNOT figure out how to include my business IMAGE LOGO
in my signature when using Windows Mail. It will NOT allow me to add images to my sig. This is CRAZY that it's a hassle to get this simple task done in this email client. I would like to include my company's image logo underneath my sig but the program does not tell you how to accomplish that? I have NO problem creating a sig that contains text ONLY but it will not allow me to include an IMAGE. If anybody could please tell me how to accomplish this I would be VERY grateful. Thanks for your time, Juliet |

Great I see what the problem is now. Windows Mail only allows images in your
sig if it's 4k in size or less. How ridiculous!!!!! That is just plain absurd. Not to mention this email client is FULL of bugs!!! How on earth am I supposed to include an image in my sig with this email client? I do NOT want to have to manually insert my image into my sig each time. That is also absurd and not convenient at all. I want it to automatically insert my sig WITH the image every time I open to write new email. Anybody know how? If there's no solution to accomplish this very SIMPLE task then this email client really is garbage. Thanks. |

It will only work in HTML mail. WinMail is exactly like Outlook Express this way. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Answer in newsgroup. Don't expect an answer to email. |

I of course know that is not a bug. I was not referring to that when I
mentioned it is full of bugs. Windows Mail is full of bugs. I have 3 email accounts setup (one for each of my 3 websites) therefore I setup 3 unique sigs for each email account since they all must have unique sigs of course and have specified in the settings which sig goes to which account. Yet it will constantly and ALWAYS use the default sig ONLY for ALL 3 of my accounts completely IGNORING the settings. Either this is a bug or a very horribly designed mail client. Also, the spell check function was acting up. It would tell me it does not support that language when I had ENGLISH as the language in both my message and the settings. It finally started to work after I had to click OK several times before it would grasp that setting. It was acting very funky. |

Well Frank was trying to help you with one issue. Now you are bringing up
lots of them without a request, so have fun. steve "Juliet" <Juliet@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A8509FF3-BDC8-4C3E-AFE3-C776E7B7380D@microsoft.com... >I of course know that is not a bug. No, I was simply trying to explain what I was referring to when I mentioned
it has bugs. The spell check has been fixed. The sigs feature does contain bugs however. I only brought up two issues... not lots of them. Thank you. |

PS- I don't see why you had the need to reply to this thread just to throw in
an unnecessary rude comment. So perhaps you should take your own advice and go "have fun" elsewhere other than this thread. |

Either this is a bug or a very > horribly designed mail client. Windows Mail in this regard is no different than OE6 before it. The different sigs work as expected when replying to an email, but when you begin to compose a new email the system has no way of knowing which of the 3 accounts you mean to use, so it just picks the default one. If you then change the 'From' account, the sig that is already there does not change. I agree that this is a very poor design. -- Gary VanderMolen |

Gary,
I see thanks for clearing that up. I assumed it was a bug because I didn't think they would actually design it to function so poorly. Guess I just have to manually enter the sig each time. I did notice though that if you manually use the keyboard shortcut then it will pick the correct sig to put in the message. But not otherwise. Thanks for the responses and help. I am grateful for them. Just wripping my hair out because lately having lots of problems since I got vista (not related to windows mail) and am getting frustrated. I also downsized my image logo to 3.5k but windows mail STILL keeps telling me it's too large. This is driving me crazy! Why on earth is it such a pain in the neck to simply create a sig with an image? This should be so simple... the way they have the sig function is awful. I don't know how to create it to call the image from an html file. Plus I heard when you do that it can easily be marked as spam or it won't load the image all the time for everybody? In outlook 2003 or 2007... is creating an image sig much less hassle than with windows mail or is it the same? Thanks for the help. |
