Default Multiple POP problems

Help!!

I unfortunately have important emails going to several accounts: aol,
gmail, yahoo, hotmail. And it is clearly a pain to read and keep up with
each of them...

Equally as unfortunate.... I have a new laptop with Vista. It would be
nice to have one email server, using POP or whatever, that can deal with all
my emails. But, alas... I have the following problems using Windows Mail
in this regard, althuogh I believe I have followed instructions -- to the
letter -- for all servers (thru web searches for help):

aol: broken completely

gmail: can read email, but sending gives message "cannot find server"

yahoo: prompts me for login/passwd each time, but, when entered, reprompts
again.

Any help would be seriusly appreciated. I spend most of my work time
fighting with email, not even reading and replying to messages.....

Steve

Get your settings from your various ISPs.

WinMail uses the same settings as Outlook Express. If you export the
accounts from OE as IAF files, WinMail can import them.

First order of business, if you are running either McAfee or
Norton antivirus, uninstall them. See
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

Post the exact error message for one account, and
we can attempt to help you fix them one at a time.
I suggest you start with Gmail, making sure it is configured
like this:

Particularly note the port numbers and SSL setting.
