Default setting up 2 seperate e-mail accounts

in outlook express i had 2 e-mail accounts and switched between these 2 by
clicking on switch identity. we each had our own seperate inbox, etc. but
shared the address book. i just set up these 2 on vista. both are merged
into one inbox, etc. how do i get these 2 into seperate local folders. can i
still share the address book.
thanks for your help

You can set up a message rule where if the message is To a certain account,
then move it to a given folder. You can't get around sharing the address
book now. Windows Contacts should be shared between the two accounts, since
they are under the same user account.

If that doesn't work for you, you might consider my Windows Mail Identities
program (www.oehelp.com/WMIDs/)

If I may offer one slight improvement over Steve's suggestion:
The filter rule should start out with

Where the message is from the Account_1 account...

The reason for using the 'account' parameter is because sometimes
an incoming message is addressed via Bcc, in which case filtering on
the To or Cc fields will not work.

I have a rule that if the message is to and account then move it to a given
folder and then other rules for other accounts and then in the end I say
move all the others to a Junk folder and then I can process BCCs which are
usually appropriately categorized as junk. <G>
