Default Block Sender feature?

I'm using Windows Mail as my USENET client under Vista. On my XP machines,
I'm using Outlook Express.

In OE, I can use the Block Sender feature to killfile any undesirable
posters, but there doesn't seem to be an equivalent in Windows Mail. I tried
added people to the blocked senders list but this didn't seem to help.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Chris

As I said originally, I tried adding the sender to the Blocked Senders List
but it didn't seem to do anything. All posts from the problem users remained
visible.

do you have your VIEW setting to SHOW ALL. change it to Hide Read or Ignored.

I confirm the OP's finding. The Blocked Sender feature does
nothing on Usenet. I always use the "Hide Read or Ignored" setting.

Darn, that makes another WinMail screw-up of a feature that worked
well in OE.

Sorry, I missed the USENET aspect of your message.

You might try Message | Create Rule from this message.

I want to block a sender and have it returned to them so they know I blocked
them, not that it goes straight into the junk file. Can that be done?

It won't work for newsgroup posts, because most posters (and all trolls) use
made up email addresses.
For email, you can create a rule... Tools - Message Rules - Mail -...
