Running a mail server requires having a fair amount of computer security skill. If you want a Microsoft mail server you need Exchange. You can get Exchange with Small Business Server. Just Google for it.

If you have to ask, it's going to be hard to set up and administer. You have
your mail server, internet connection, DNS... Merak (www.merakmailserver.com/) makes a good one.
