Default Can not make ms dos startup disk

I am trying to make an msdos start up disk under vista home premium and
it is saying i do not have sufficient rights to perform that action. I
am signed on as an administrator. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance Rob

are you using a small app that makes the boot disks like those from
bootdisk.com that is an exe ?

if so try right clicking on that exe and select run as an administrator

tell me if this helps

I am trying to use the one in windows vista. Right click on a drive and
choose format and then check make ms-dos start up disk.

sorry I cant boot into vista at this time to check it out (I have a
dualboot)
but you can try to make a bootdisk for dos from a download of this site
http://www.bootdisk.com/

I know that you want to find the reason why vista isnt working... but
at least perhaps my solution will get you a disk
