Default Security warning, how to stop?

Hello,

I have 2 messages that pop up every time I log into Vista Ultimate for
software for my touchpad on my laptop. I've added the 2 programs to Windows
Firewall exceptions list but this has made no difference. How can I stop
these annoying messages popping up?

Kol

Since you didn't tell us what the messages are, I'm guessing that the
messages may come from Windows Defender rather than your firewall.
Change the blocked programs options in WD.

If this guess wasn't accurate, then please supply the exact text of the
error messages.

Hi Malke,

If it told me it was Windows Defender or Windows Firewall I would have said
but it doesn't. All the dialog box says is "Open File - Security Warning",
so
could be either.

I've added the 2 programs to Windows Defender, yet they still pop up on
logging in. :-(
