Cheers all,
I have a question for you: how to set the amount of shared memory for my video card on Vista? I have an Aspire 5100 with an ATi Mobilty Radeon x1300 graphics adapter capable of using up to 256Mb of main system memory in addition to the 128Mb of dedicated video memory (which is more than enough for my needs at this moment). I have tried looking into the BIOS settings, but I can't find anything there (the 128Mb video memory is written in stone there, can't be changed) so I believe Vista is sharing memory on its own accord. Looking at the advanced display settings on the adapter tab I see that it has 383Mb total available memory, 128 dedicated and 256shared, but I can't seem to find anywhere where to select no aditional memory for my video card. Please help, because my Vista is kinda crawling here... -- Tiberiu Dubau Ascent Soft www.ascent-soft.ro |
