Default Belkin Wireless Print Server

When I try and install the Belkin Wireless Print Wizard I get the follow
error: Unable to send packet to socket (ERROR code: 10065)
This worked fine under Windows XP and works on two other laptops in my
home which are using XP--called Belkin tech support was on phone with them
for about 1
hour--got to high up tech and was determined that they do not support Visa
yet.

Anyone able to get this to work. (at least I have a work around
until the drivers are supporting visa (I hook up my laptop directly
via USB port to the printer)

the device is unreachable. Does the Belkin Wizard use Standard TCP/IP Port
or are they installing their own print monitor?

Look at the Port description on the XP machine.

If they have their own port monitor can you try the Standard TCP/IP Port in
Vista. You'll need to know the IP and how (which port) the Belkin device
accepts data.

err 10065

WSAEHOSTUNREACH

# A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host.

The Wizard errors out --that is when I got the error. I tried to configure
the IP address to the same as my XP computer--still did not work--
I think that I tried this when I was on the phone with Belkin-- Thanks
for responding--probably going to have to wait until they come up with
new Wizard--This is a wireless print server--not sure I mentioned this

I think the solution you tried is correct in principle but not in
executuion. You have to use a unique address for the print server.

Check the user manual. Try p8 and following. If you cannot locate your
hard copy, there might be a copy oas a PDF file on the CD that came with
the device. If not, there is one one-line.

I went through all the steps and still did not work.. Thanks for the help.

It might not be vista though--because now my XP printers will not work
with it either--so I went back to square 1--factory reset on print server
hooked up to Ethernet and went through Wizard--then when I unconnected
will not find my printers--back to the drawling board---not sure but might
have
gotten zapped the other night when power went off on and --although we were
able to print after from the XP computers.

OK---so now I got it to work--but I have to have it connected
to the network via Ethernet--it works on both the xp computer &
vista--at least for now that is a workaround--I am able to print
wireless--but will keep it connected to a spare either net cable I have.

thanks all for your suggestions
