Hi,
The cheaper colour laser printers use the Windows host based printing sytem in XP. Does Vista use the same system. I am looking at buying a new colour laser printer and don't want to repeat the waste of a good printer as I did when my Star laser with the widows GDI printing system did not migrate to from Win98 to WinXP. regards bussoguy |

Windows Vista has a new printing "engine" so to speak - it's really hard to
explain, but hopefully this will help a bit. http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/driver/WDK/default.mspx - click on Color Management and Windows Vista and Windows Vista Printing Overview )-- Zack Whittaker » ZackNET Enterprises: www.zacknet.co.uk » MSBlog on ResDev: www.msblog.org » Vista Knowledge Base: www.vistabase.co.uk » This mailing is provided "as is" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
