Hello Vista file management team,
In Windows 2000 and XP I get an error message when I want to delete a file that is in use. The message does not tell me by which process or application the file is used though. This way, the error message is not helpful at all. What I would expect is a bit richer box that displays which applications and processes are locking the file(s) or folder(s), plus some basic information about these processes, and a Help link to possible solutions. This would be a major user friendlyness improvement for Windows (Vista or its successor), IMO. Hope you will consider it. Kind regards, David van Leerdam ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
