Since I installed vista beta I cannot access my files on same harddrive that
the vista is installed from w2k pro. 2k shows only one partition on that drive, but there are 2 and says that drive is not formatted if i try to browse it. In vista all partitions shows just fine and I can access the files. Is w2k's and vistas NTFS something different and 2k can't understand the partitions? That partition contains most of my installed software, so it is quite vital to get 2k work with it again. |

Maybe you didn't post your statements and questions enough times? Why would
anyone think that a new NTFS that supports transactions would be compatible with Windows 2000, especially since there have been two major OS revisions in between? Windows 2000 has been in a lower support category for several months. Hey
NTFS revision has changed a bit while years passed so nearest are xp and vista. To find more information about differences of NTFS revisions, use google ie. search engines. If you need to move files etc. do it via Vista since it seems to support older revisions of NTFS. -- Try, learn, experience. It's not supposed NTFS version of Vista is the same as XP (as I read on
these newsgroups)? Then, from Win2k I can browse XP partitions, so what's the difference if I want to browse Vista's partition from Win2k? Please respond to questions technically and not with other question. David J. Craig escribió: > Maybe you didn't post your statements and questions enough times?
