Default Keep folder structure in Explorer

Hi,

if I open the folder structure in Explorer an click on a folder to view the
contents, the folder structure disappears and the content "fills" the whole
window. How can I keep the folder structure permanent at the left side?

Thanks,
Thomas

I notice this happens when I'm browsing a network folder or certain folders.
I haven't found a way to keep it on, you only see it available in Documents,
Pictures, Music.

It's highly annoying suddenly having everything shifting position over.
