Default Parental Controls - Logging Email/IM

I see that Windows Vista is capable of logging Email usage as well as IM
usage. However, I can't seem to get it to start logging. It states that there
currently isn't a session or a compatible application (or something along
those lines) I have the newest MS Windows Live Messenger so it should be
compatible. I also have outlook 2003 installed or can set up Windows Mail to
be used, but it won't track it either. How do I get it to start tracking?

after 2,5 hours on the phone with MS they do not want to admit there is an
issue here . Instead their solution to this is MSN 9 Premium will work with
this and that I shoudl speak to their MSN department . as this is not a
VISTA ISSUE
sorry guys looks liek we are ripped off again

Is there a solution to this coming/out now with the free Messenger?
This has a huge hole in Parental Controls. I can't believe Vista
shipped and Messenger wasn't fixed! Tell me some good news.
