Default ie7 in windows vista home edition

When I try to open ie7 in Windows Vista Home Edition.....I get the message:
internet explorer has stopped working and that program will close and notify
me if problem is solved.

The only way I can open ie7...is to right click on ie shortcut and click on:
run as administrator. Any suggestions?

Hello,

This is due to a problem if you have OmniPage installed, which comes with a
Canon Scanner or all in one printer. If you have OmniPage installed,
uninstall it, then access IE normally again.

I installed a canon printer yesterday. Was wondering if it could be the
problem. I can't find OmniPage listed in the uninstall page. Maybe I should
uninstall the printer and custom install the printer?? Anyway...thanks for
your help.

I too am having problems.
If dumping Omnipage is the resolution, then I'll dump IE7
The FAR better Maxthon runs fine, and Firefox is light years better too.

Yea, I am with you Phil. If for some strange reason I need IE7, I will
just run as admin. I am sure as Hell not going to whack my OmniPage!
