Default I installed Vista as a dual boot and i am having issues with XP

When i log on to XP after using Vista, an error messege pops up that says
"the desktop is inaccessible" does anyone know what I can do to fix this
issue? Ive tried giving all permissions to the administrator on both Vista
and XP yet I still have this error message. I cant do anything on my desktop
in XP! any help would be greatly appreciated.

you CANNOT log onto xp from vista, must multi boot and reboot. unless you are using some form of virtual computing.
you need to install them on separate partition/drives.
