I upgraded over an existing Windows XP Home installed. It only had one user
with administrative privileges and no password. In Vista whenever I launch IE 7+ it's hard locks/freezes and I have to load out. If I click anything in the entire OS that " calls " IE, same thing. I've narrowed it down to a don't have permission to access the entire IE 7+ folder. I desperately need help as this is making my whole Vist experience just awful. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. --Gene Brought To You By Windows Vista Beta 2 Speech Recognition For Both Text Input And Application Command |

If yes, uninstall it and try 5, version 6 instead. -- Sharon F MS-MVP ~ Windows Shell/User |

Sharon, thank you for your response. I hate Java. The useless icon in the
system tray the state's boldly " Java Platform 2, JRE 1.5 ", but in Programs version five, released six, finally, and about, it says " Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_06-b05) " finally in desperation I pointed and click myself to User Access Control and turned it off. All my problems have disappeared. When I get more familiar with Vista and its user account, rights, and permissions information I will change it back. I hope this to ships with an interactive tutorial on these issues. When I was poking around trying to access the rights of the Windows Internet Explorer folder I found a user with the name of " Microsoft Net Framework 1.1 with machine in the name. I deleted that user. My install was an upgrade from a clean install of Windows XP (plus about 15 of my favorite programs), so probably accounts for some of my problems.
